STATION 23 was one of eight songwriters who received the “Best New Songwriter” recognition at the 57th SONGWRITERS Showcase presented by the SONGWRITERS HALL of FAME, Billboard Magazine and the National Academy of Popular Music alongside Stefani Germanotta (Lady Gaga), Wendy Starland and Rachel Platten. STATION 23 crosses musical borders by blending the strings of acoustic folk, the vigor of contemporary pop and the latitude of modern rock. STATION 23 has been described as "honest, evocative, and an engaging fresh new sound" by Roberta Zlokower from "On the Arts" in NYC. "They can really rock with ROCK," says Gary Stephens from the Associated Press. STATION 23 was conceived by Erika Weander, Pete Romano, Ben Healy, Tod Hedrick and Ryan Cavan. The band performed regularly in New York City at THE BITTER END, B.B. KING's,
BIRDLAND, ENCORE, The FRIAR'S CLUB, The MERCURY LOUNGE,
CRASH MANSION, KENNY’S CASTAWAYS and The TRIAD.
